Fronting the sound of The Jammin G’s Ragady grew on up the caribbean island of St Kitts. His singing style, flamboyant stage presence, and easy going way with the audience is the icing on the cake of this awesome band. Ragady’s singing voice covers contemporary top40, Reggae, Motown and everything in between. Smiley began playing drums for the church before going professional. Smiley and Jamaican Dave ( keyboardist ) are childhood friends from Jamaica. During the 80’s they played in various musical situations in Jamaica before they immigrated to the U.S. Danny ultimately met Rick Lampkin in 2002 and they have been working steady together every since. Danny is very well known for his cheerful smile, charming personality and dynamic, energetic drumming ability.
Jamaican Dave; Keyboards, Lead Vocals
Dave is originally from Montego Bay Jamaica. Like his childhood friend Smiley ( drummer) Daves journey in music began in the church. He worked with Smiley and many other musicians in Jamaica professionally before immigrating to the U.S. His advanced musical skills on piano, sense of wit, and engaging personality has made him a highly acclaimed and in demand session musician. The wonderful sounds of piano, horns, steel drums, flutes woodwinds and evan guitar can be attributed to his versatile and knowledgable use of synth’s and keyboards.
Jean Pherry Hilaire; Guitar, Lead Vocals
Jean (pronounced John) hails from the island of Haiti. Aside from his native Kompa music, Jeans soulful, emotional guitar playing and sound is deeply inspired by the likes of Carlos Santana, and Jimi Hendrix. In addition to performing Santana and Hendrix, Jean also sings and performs current top 40 hits. The multi talented Jean runs JPH Productions studios specializing in mobil recording and video production. Jean in his spare time loves to produce and direct his own movies and paint.
Rick Lampkin; Bass Backup Vocals
Originally from Caracas Venezuela Rick immigrated to the U.S at an early age and grew up in N.Y where he learned to play bass guitar. While in N.Y he spent time playing with a rock / 80’s band. Rick has played with many bands and once upon a time toured the United States before settling in SW Florida. He started working with Jamaican Dave first in 1999, Smiley in 2002 and later on along the way met Jean and Ragady.
