Scott Bartlett lead guitarist for the band Saving Abel.
Scott Alexander Bartlett grew up in Baltimore, MD and attended Gilman school for 12 years. I was accomplished in music, theater, football, weight/power lifting and won the faculty and music award at my school. I moved to Memphis in 96′ to attend Rhodes college where I graduated with a major in classical guitar performance and composition and minored in business administration in 2000. I was in bands the entire time and upon graduation decided to pursue music full time. I ended up playing in many bands, teaching and doing studio work. I went through a series of indie record deals, and after about 6 years, I found myself signing a speculative agreement with a band who ended up calling themselves Saving Abel with Skidd Mills as our engineer and producer.
We soon signed with Virgin/Capital/EMI and hit the road with our hit single “Addicted” which went number one on multiple charts. This led to many years of touring with other hit singles such as “18 days” “Drowning Face Down” and “Sex is Good” as well as 3 albums. Saving abel has led me into other businesses such as “Tatco” which is an artist tattoo based clothing line. I am actively working on developing a television pilot and am looking into delving into the food industry as well.
I wear many hats but first and foremost am a guitar player by trade
In 2012 SA parted ways with virgin/ capital/ EMI amicably, and signed with the wolds largest indie label e1 where we put out our most recent album release,”Bringing Down The Giant”. We are about embark on a nation wide acoustic tour and start the festival season.
